Two plus one is enough
They are back!!! waaaaa... maooooo... wehiehiee... pengen beli, pengen beli, pengen beli :P eh? uda ada blon yah di Barnes? hehehe...
Here is the scrapbook collection I've been waiting for ^^ Waktu itu yg book #17 dibeliin my exroomate, sheren ^^ dan tadi pas iseng2 mampir ke site ini, ehh tau2 mereka ada new collection, book #18! Lucu judulnya, Two plus one is enough :P Jadi pengen share di blog ttg my fave comicbook ini ^^
This is Darryl, the daddy :P He is the father in Baby Blues. A guy in his mid-thirties, mid-carreer, mid-management and midcourse in the greatest adventure of his life... fatherhood, is the father of 3 wonderful, hyperactive kids. Darryl loves being a dad, even though it's the hardest work he's ever done (if you don't count that summer job in the elephant pen at the zoo during college). The consummate involved parent, Darryl is there whenever possible to lend a hand, wipe a nose, kiss a boo-boo or shoo a monster the way only a real dad can do it. Darryl is passionately in love with Wanda after eleven years of marriage. Or at least as passionately as possible under the circumstances.
That is Wanda, the mommy :P
Wanda Wizowski-MacPherson never thought of herself as the motherly-type until her biological clock started ringing like a fire bell. After she got pregnant with Zoe, Wanda traded working full-time as a public relations executive for working fuller time as a mother of a newborn. Now a mother of two keeps her busy full-time, and then some.
Wanda is a complex person... part nurturing mother, part dynamic organizer, and part exhausted woman. Having a breast-feeding one and a half year old and a rambunctious five year-old in the house demands most of her time, requires all of her attention and has fried most of her brain cells. She credits she and Darryl with inventing what they consider the ultimate form of birth control... two kids in the house.
Despite all of the work and confusion, Wanda loves Darryl and their kids and wouldn't want to live her life any other way. Really. No fooling. Unless maybe there were great sums of money involved. And a yacht. And an extended stay at a ritzy spa. Perhaps a little time alone in the bathroom.
Then comes Zoe, the firstborn, the daughter of the MacPherson family. Zoe pronouced as Zoh-EE is Darryl and Wanda's first child. Born cranky and loud, she dominated the MacPherson household for the first three years of her life. After having every burp, bubble and babble photographed or taped, Zoe came face-to-face with the cold reality of being the older sibling when her baby brother, Hamish (Hammie, for short) was born.
Zoe is a good big sister, she has a fairly large vocabulary for her age, and wants to be cheerleader/veterinarian/doctor/ballerina Barbie when she grows up. Now that she is five years old she is in preschool and will begin kindergarten in the fall. When little Zoe MacPherson was born, she was the darling of the comics page.
The daily antics of her parents, Wanda and Darryl, struggling to learn the nuances of being a mom and dad struck millions as all-too-real and all-too-hilarious! As Zoe has grown into a preschooler -- and welcomed baby brother Hamish into the family -- the MacPherson clan has become an even bigger part of our daily lives. Even people who aren't parents cherish Baby Blues for its amusing artwork and spirited stories.
Hamish MacPherson (Hammie, for short... Ham for shorter) is a year and a half old. He has a shock of hair the texture of a whisk broom, big ears and a couple of teeth that could pierce Kevlar (just ask his breast-feeding Mom).
Hammie not only learned to crawl, he preferred instead to roll wherever he wants to go. Now that he's older he runs around wtih a truck in his hand, making motor noises. He's a patient, good-natured baby with a fascination for anything that rolls, explodes or has an engine.
The last one comes baby Wren. Can you guess if it's a boy or a girl??? hehehee... namanya aneh banget yah? ga ketebak cewe pa cowo hihihi.... it's a girl!! ^^ hihihi aneh ya namanya Wren :P she's the baby of the family :) baru muncul pas di buku #17 kalo ga salah.
BabyBlues ini lucu banget deh. I've been collecting them ever since I borrowed it from Sheren. Lucu dan enak dibacanya. Rick Kirkman and Jerry Scott are surely both wonderful writers. Their comics are so hilarious and easy to read. A good comicbook to enjoy, especially if you loves kids, or if you own one or two, or if you're expecting them soon ;) surely will learn pretty much in this series of collection hihihi.... it's all about the joy of parenting. Or for unmarried people, we could just sit back and relax, and perhaps prepare for what could happen if we start having kids of our own :P kekeke...
